Riley Cowell, LICSW-S
Director of Social Services
Riley Cowell is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor who has served at Agape of Central Alabama since 2020. She oversees Agape’s foster care, adoption, and maternity programs, leading organizational efforts in program development, evaluation, and expansion. Her leadership is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-based care that promotes connection, stability, and hope for every family Agape serves. Riley earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University and her Master of Social Work degree from Samford University. She believes social work is a living expression of the Gospel—an opportunity to love others with compassion and purpose. In addition to her leadership role, Riley provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families. She is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, and integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in her clinical work to help clients strengthen relationships, heal from trauma, and build lasting resilience.
