Walk Alongside

Every event has a life cycle, and after 13 years Agape’s Run for a Mom 5K/10K has come to an end. Over the years, we have seen the River Region community come together to raise funds and celebrate birth moms, adoptive moms, and foster moms…and we did a little running as well. Even though this event is ending, we are beginning a new opportunity that supports the mission of Agape, especially our mission to help expectant women in crisis.

We want you to join us as we Walk Alongside.

The purpose of Alongside

Who do you call when something unexpected happens in your life? Who do you call when you don’t know what you are going to do? Who do you call when you need gas money or help with groceries? You probably call a spouse, parent, grandparent, or a close friend. Expectant women in crisis call Agape.

From the first phone call, Agape’s maternity social workers Walk Alongside expectant moms throughout their pregnancy whether they choose an adoption plan or choose to parent.

The purpose of the Walk Alongside event is to raise awareness of the needs of expectant women in crisis, to learn more about how you can be a part of supporting them, and to “take a walk” alongside an expectant mother.
