Having a baby can be one of the most anticipated and joyful occasions in your life, but sometimes those feelings can be replaced with anxiousness and dread if it is unexpected. If you feel unprepared, if you feel like you are not ready to become a parent, if you do not have the means to provide for a child, then AGAPE can help. We are here to offer you a safe place to talk…about anything. We encourage you to evaluate your situation with a counselor who will help you explore all your options before making choices that will affect you, the birth father and your child for a lifetime.

Questions To Ask Any Adoption Agency:
Q: What is your primary concern, helping me or placing my baby for adoption?
Q: Are you a non-profit ministry, or a for-profit business? And how long have you been doing adoptions?
Q: What happens if the baby is born with medical/health problems? Will you still take responsibility for placing my baby into a family that is prepared and capable of meeting my child's needs?
Q: How many special needs babies have you placed in the past three years?
Q: How do you balance my wants and needs with those of the prospective adoptive families? Who is your primary client . . . me or the adoptive family?
Q: Will you be there for me and my baby on a long-term basis? How?
(examples include: helping you obtain pictures of your baby, facilitating contact with the adoptive family over the years, supporting your baby's adoptive family if they need it, helping with "reunification" if all parties are willing?)
