Marcus and Malcholm were abandoned by their mother and left with family members who were unfit to care for them. DHR stepped in and removed the brothers from the family members due to neglect and poor care. Six months passed, and the birth mother, worried she might permanently lose them, made contact with her sons. She communicated with an Agape social worker and sought advice on how to get them back.
Meanwhile, the boys were placed in foster care with a good Agape family. The boys stayed in this foster home for about 2 years. For the first time these young brothers attended school full time. The foster parents invited the birth mother into their home to visit with Marcus and Malcholm on many occasions, including Christmas. The mother relocated to Alabama for evaluation, and over time, regained custody of her two sons. The boys still call their foster parents to keep in touch and tell them what grades they are making in school. They are now with their birth mom and are doing great!
Agape stood in the gap for these children and made sure they crossed the bridge together.
