Be the Home Someone Needs with Agape
For vulnerable, orphaned children as well as pregnant women in crisis, Agape offers a safe, hopeful future. A ministry of Jesus Christ, Agape helps hurting children find permanent homes with nurturing Christian families.

Founded in 1977, Agape is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency whose staff and board are all faithful Christians. We are licensed by the state of Alabama to provide foster care as well as domestic and international adoption services. We welcome those who wish to volunteer to help children and expectant mothers in need, and invite all to pray for them and share Agape’s mission with others.

No client is ever turned away for inability to pay, and with staff in Montgomery, Birmingham, Enterprise and Daphne, Alabama, we’re ready to help.

Brother Sam Canerday is so gonna be missed by Agape. Not only was he one of the leaders in founding Agape in 1977, and our first Board President in 1979, and one of our strongest advocates for 35 years, but his heart for children and families also became Agape's heart. He never ceased giving encouragement and wise counsel to the ministry to help us grow and mature in our service to children and families. His legacy will not fade. It lives on forever in the thousands of lives reached by Agape of Central Alabama in the name of Jesus.

We've just been notified that the scam artist visited a Montgomery business this week. Thanks to this business for photographing his license plate and contacting Crimestoppers as he left! Please continue to help us watch for this man. See earlier details below:

Agape Friends: Please be advised there is a man posing as an Agape volunteer, or minister, visiting businesses in the Montgomery area asking for donations for Agape. This person is NOT associated with Agape. Any funds given to him do not come to Agape. If you see this man at your business, please call the police immediately. We truly appreciate your help. And please don't let this hinder your generous spirits. The ministry of Agape depends on your constant support. We value your gifts and want to honor your trust in us.
